Where has the idea of the Hair Show come from?
The Salon Two team often get involved with photo shoots and session styling and love creating something a little different to our day to day salon work. A hair show is a great way for us to take this to the next level and showcase our stylists work and creativity to an audience. We also wanted to put the event on to raise money and support for the wonderful St Barnabas Hospice. A cause very close the salon’s heart.
What can people expect to see?
A Hairdressing Extravaganza! Each stylist will be sending their own collection down the runway. Stylists have had to create a total look not just focussing on the hair but also the styling make up and lighting that all compliments their chosen theme. Hosting the evening we have the UK’s number one Gary Barlow Tribute act Dan Hadfield who will also be singing! We also have a performance from Sarah Hogan’s Movement Academy dance troupe and a Luxury Charity Auction.
Who Will Be Taking Part?
18 of our talented Salon Two stylists from both the Burton Road and High Street Branches will be preparing around 90 models to take to the runway. The afore mentioned Dan Hadfield as Gary Barlow will be performing some Take That classics and Sarah Hogan’s Movement Academy has choreographed each of the stylists sets as well as their own dancers taking to the stage. We also have a fantastic team of Make-up Artists involved and 3 Photographers Steven Haddock, Lucy Butler-Forshaw and Stephen Rendall who will capture all the action on the night both on and off the stage.
Where will it be taking place?
The show will be taking place on Wednesday 2nd November at The Drill Hall, Lincoln. Doors will open at 6.30pm with the show starting at 7pm. Ticket holders will also have guest list entrance to our after party which will be hosted at Lola Lo’s Nightclub. Perfect for those who want to carry on the party.
Why is it important to get involved with this show?
The hair show is not only great for us to show off the salons talent and for people to see their work but most importantly it’s a great way for us to raise money for the wonderful St Barnabas Hospice. The Hospice is very special to the Salon Two Family after having cared for Salon Founder Richard Slight who sadly passed away late last year. By buying a ticket to the show you are helping us to give back to St Barnabas. The Hospice relies solely on support from charity and fundraising efforts and would not be able to deliver the service and care that they do without this help.
How much are you expecting/ aiming to raise?
Through the sale of tickets and the charity auction we are trying to raise as much money as we possibly can. With the Hospices annual costs totalling around 4 million per year to run every penny counts. All proceeds from the show will go to support St Barnabas’s ongoing care. Tickets are on sale now from Salon Two Burton Road or Salon Two High Street at a cost of £20 per ticket. We hope to see you all there!
Salon Two would like to congratulate Chloe on the fantastic look she created for the L'Oreal Colour Trophy! To get through to the regional finals and place 14th out of 35 is a massive achievement!
